Nicky
The staff at this hotel was incredibly helpful and the room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast options were fantastic and the location was convenient for exploring both the Historic square and the beach. The reception being open 24 hours was a plus, and the TV had a great selection of channels.

Close to center of Salvador and to Praia do Barra. Excellent restaurant and breakfast buffet.

It's a budget hostel disguised as a hotel, but it comes with an obligatory can't-skip bellhop. With appalling conditions in the rooms, that's unsual, to say the least. No clock, no shampoo. The aircon is a joke, the staff doesn't speak English. The 'restaurant' resembles a 1950s bus station bar. A depressing place, overall.

The hotel offers great value for money, especially during carnival time. The location is convenient, as it is within walking distance to the historic part of the city. The staff provides excellent service and is very helpful.
The breakfast room feels more like a canteen for workers rather than a pleasant place to start the day.

Spencer
Low cost hotel with helpful staff and particularly nice views of the sea. Very comfy bed, brand-new and large room with a safe box, television, and a mini-fridge-bar.

We stayed at Hotel Bahia Do Sol for 4 nights during our vacation. The 24-hour reception was a great convenience, and the staff were friendly and helpful in explaining local tours. The room was clean and comfortable, with a super comfortable queen-sized bed and a nice, strong hot shower. The hotel's location between El Pelourinho and Barra was very convenient, and there were plenty of amenities nearby. The breakfast had a good choice overall and was superb.
100% Recommend this hotel.

It's relatively central, in a good area, bathroom was good and very clean. Breakfast is great and very, very good. I read this in other comments and could testify myself. Lovers of Bahian food will enjoy it. Internet free is always a good thing for me and the link was alright though not superfast. Got worst connections in 5* hotels in Germany so I rank that as good
Walls could be cleaner and furniture newer. Room seemed overall old but nothing which would stop me to stay there again, I'd come back for sure as value for money is very good.

This hotel was in a good location in the safer part of Salvador in the Vitoria neighborhood. It has a beautiful lobby and is run very professionally. The elevators were odd and the hallways were quite dark. There were motion detector lights that didn't light up very quickly. The room was adequate and clean but very plain. Beds are very firm but ok. Breakfast was great!
I was disappointed there wasn't a pool as it is so hot there. As with most hotels, English isn't spoken but they try hard and we worked it out.

The location near Barra and Graça was perfect for my interests. The hotel area felt safe at night. The breakfast was good with plenty of choices. The reception was open 24 hours and the staff was helpful in explaining possible tours. The rooms were clean and comfortable, though not luxurious. The location was convenient between El Pelourinho and Barra, making it easy to explore both areas. it was a pleasant stay with friendly staff and reasonable prices.
